Elysia Lurlene Laurel was born to Eric Lance Laurel and Emi Lurlene
Laurel on the date of November 6, 1988. Both her parents were ecstatic to
have a baby girl; Emi had undertaken several expensive fertility
treatments in an effort to bear a child due to a condition which limited her
ability to birth. After Elysia's birth, Emi was declared infertile. For
these facts, Eric and Emi doted on Elysia as she grew up. They saw her
as their miracle child, a gift from God. Since both Eric and Emi were
successful writers, they had the funds to give Elysia whatever she
wished for while growing up- within reason. While proud and grateful for
their daughter, they did not want her to be spoiled. Thus Elysia was
raised in the church, to provide her with a sense of morality and justice.

In school, Elysia did rather well. While she was not the best of the
best, she always applied herself as best she could to her schoolwork.
She made friends easily, as by nature she was kind, caring, friendly.
There were few problems that Elysia could not solve, especially when it
came to mediating arguments and disagreements. She worried easily about
friends, and especially about family.

While both Eric and Emi were successful writers, their material was
very different. Eric wrote classic fiction, books and novels that were
comparable to great works such as Lord of the Rings, the Chronicles of
Narnia and such. Emi, on the other hand, wrote much more controversial
things. Emi was a scientist, and her books were often about things such
as the theory of evolution, survival of the fittest, the big bang
theory. Emi was a Christian, but she believed in finding ways to meld the
Bible and Christian beliefs with science. It was because of Emi's work
that she and her husband were killed.

On November 6th, 2006, Elysia returned home from school as usual. She
was to have a party that night to celebrate her 18th birthday. Eric and
Emi were home preparing the house for the party, and Elysia happily
joined in the efforts. At around 5:00, there was a knock at the door.
Confused, since the party was not to begin until 7, Eric went to answer the
door, telling Emi and Elysia to stay put, where they were baking and
cooking in the kitchen. Elysia could hear her father talking to an older
sounding man for a few minutes. Then, suddenly, the sound of gunfire
rang through the house. Emi gave her daughter a frightened look before
shoving Elysia into the pantry and shutting and locking the door.

Elysia was trapped in the pantry, and she struggled to remain quiet in
her terror as she heard the man come into the kitchen. Upon seeing her
mother, the man began to scream, shout, and rage about the Godlessness
of Emi's work. He carried on for some time before finally shooting Emi
in the head and fleeing the scene. Elysia was found at around 7:00,
when friends had arrived for the party, and seeing both her parents' dead,
frantically searched the house.

This journal is completely fictious, as is Elysia Laurel. It's all part of my vivid imagination. I have no connection to Lindsay Lohan, I merely use her image for this character. Elysia Laurel is a patient at amplified_rpg.
